News / Construction has started on Bude Retail Park
Construction has now started on Bude Retail Park, the development will comprise an attractive new retail park of four units totalling 43,256 sq ft, all facing onto a central customer car park. Directly opposite is the town’s main food store, a 50,590 sq ft Morrisons with a petrol filling station.
Bude development also adjoins a new 16,802 sq ft Lidl food store which has been open and trading from the end of 2015. Apart from Morrisons and Lidl the only other provision in Bude is a small Sainsbury’s of 20,339 sq ft to the north west of the town. Bude Retail development will comprise the largest concentration of out of town retail in the North Cornwall / West Devon region.
Three of the four units have open A1 (part food) planning permission which have been pre-let to B&M (Unit D), Poundworld (Unit C) and Peacocks (Unit B), the remaining available unit (A) being 4,000 sq ft having a wide bulky goods (including part) planning permission.
This is a very exciting development which will bring further waves of retail warehousing to the “Bondi of Britain”
