News / NEXT AND M&S SET TO OPEN AT NEW BICESTER RETAIL PARK

Consolidated Property Group has started work on Kingsmere Retail Park in Bicester. Next and Marks & Spencer Simply Food have signed up for flagship stores at the £40 million retail park and Curson Sowerby Partners is marketing three further retail stores, a restaurant and gym.

The park is located off the A41 next to the Kingsmere housing estate.

Consolidated Group Managing Drector Martin Ridgway comments, “It is great news to finally get on site and see the retail park take shape. Next and M&S Simply Food have now signed with their latest format flagship stores and there are others in the pipeline.

“Kingsmere Retail Park will build on the success of Bicester as an attractive retail, residential and commercial centre. The scheme is designed to meet the needs of local residents who will no longer have to travel outside of the area to shop and will at last be able to visit well-known modern high street stores on their doorstep.”

Construction will be completed by the end of October 2019.

Andrew Carrington, director of Countryside Properties which owns the Kingsmere residential development comments, “One of the major benefits of living at Kingsmere is that residents can enjoy access to high-class leisure and retail facilities. Kingsmere Retail Park will continue to build on this, giving the community a place where they can enjoy some of the leading brands right on their doorstep.

“It will bring a new level of convenience and experience for everyone living here, while also helping to make sure that Kingsmere continues to thrive in Bicester.”
