News / The Food Warehouse Opens at The Oaks in Harlow

A private landlord, advised by Curson Sowerby Partners, has agreed a new 10 year lease with The Food Warehouse at The Oaks Retail Park in Harlow.

The Food Warehouse store is due to open later this month.  They will occupy the 11,400 sq ft unit formerly occupied by Carpetright who have been relocated and downsized within the scheme into the 5,000 sq ft void left by Maplin.

Georgie Brooks at Curson Sowerby Partners comments, “Maplin entered administration and Carpetright no longer required such a large unit. By relocating Carpetright to the Maplin store, we have been able to attract The Food Warehouse to the Park and right size an important existing tenant. Carpetright are now on a new 10 year lease, at market rent and the Park benefits from a part food planning consent and an exciting new retailer, which will significantly increase footfall to the benefit of all Tenants.”

The Oaks Retail Park is a prime part wide bulky goods retail/ part discount food consented park comprising 114,149 sq ft, with 382 car parking spaces. It is highly accessible, just off the A414 to the north east of Harlow town centre.
