The Crown Estate have committed to fund LXB’s £140 million Rushden Lakes Shopping Park in Rushden, Northamptonshire.
The scheme will comprise around 400,000 sq ft of retail and restaurant accommodation, focused upon the existing lakes, to create a unique offer for visitors.
Marks & Spencer, H&M and Costa Coffee have all exchanged pre-lets, with a further department store anchor and numerous other retail and restaurant lettings in solicitors’ hands.
Rushden Lakes will set a new standard for UK shopping parks and is expected to attract retailers who have never traded out of town before, demonstrating the quality of the scheme.
Works upon the park are expected to commence in October 2015, with completion set for the following summer.
